This fall, the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society Floral Design Group was again invited by Plymouth Village to assist with the holiday decorating of Kendall Place.

The group was also invited to take part in the holiday design of the dining room at Kimberly Crest and to be a part of the fall event of the Breakfast Club of Redlands.

In addition, the Floral Design Group was invited to take part in the Tablescape Exhibition recently held at South Coast Botanic Garden in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The community is invited to events at Kendall Place and Kimberly Crest on Sunday.

Plymouth Village retirement community’s holiday open house is 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Kendall Place, 120 E. Palm Ave.

Kimberly Crest Christmas tree lighting is 5 p.m. on the grounds of Kimberly Crest, 1325 Prospect Drive.

Kendall Place was built in 1902 for Charles Kendall Adams, an American educator, author, historian and former president of Cornell University and the University of Wisconsin. Unfortunately, he lived in the house only 13 days before he died at the age of 67.

Now, this restored Victorian showpiece graces the Plymouth Village campus.

Kimberly Crest, a picturesque French chateau-style estate, was built in 1897.

Founded in 1889, Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society has been active in Redlands for more than 120 years.

The society will present its 100th annual flower show, “Celebrating One

Hundred Years,” plus garden tour and uncommon plant sale April 21 and 22.
